I am sure that it does hurt... they make special toilet seats that are

Yes my mother had one of those when she was alive. I *hated* the damn
thing when I used to visit her.

I can get on and off the toilet ok btw so I suppose some squats with a
chair or my bed behind me would be helpful at this point and if
anything hurts too much I can stop. Right?

I started going to Curves when I weighed 284... You just have to start slow
and go at your own pace to build up the tolerance.

good for you. You can still do your exercises, you have plenty of
weight so you do not need any resistance machines. Just do squats,
situps if you can etc. Just walking is a big weight exercise for
you. You may need a gym after you lose, say, 80 lbs.

80 pounds plus the 45 I have already lost?

Or 80 pounds total?

I figured, when you get to 250 lbs, then gym may become a little more
attractive to you. So I meant 8 lbs compared to your current
weight. It is obviously an arbitrary figure. I just thought that you
would be unlikely to use the gym enough given your condition.

I love New Balance. I just bought a pair and they are the most

Good Luck.

I've always loved them.

New Balance are the best shoes for those with wide feet and/or who over
pronate. Very well made shoes.

I OTOH, have narrow feet and I tend to under pronate. I've found Asics to be
perfect. My feet are 8.5 AA. If I was built like my feet, I'd be a super
model. : )

I can't wear Asics.... They hurt my feet!

Has anyone tried Dansko shoes? www.dansko.com. They cost about $100 a
pair, but have the best support and are so comfortable. I bought some last
year, per recommendation from a friend. The problem is, I wear a size 43
European (11.5 female)... with how they size them. I can wear the unisex
clogs, but not the women's sandals... which only go to size 42... ARG
