Default Yogurt & Garlic

Hi. Yogurt and Garlic are good for our health. What happens when
they are incorporated into a recipe and cooked? For instance I wish
to use no fat yogurt instead of sour cream in dishes such as beef
stroganoff etc. Does the yogurt when cooked still keep it's
nutriative values? How about garlic? I don't like it too much raw
and love it in cooked dishes. What happens when it's cooked? Is it
still good for high blood pressure etc.?

It will still have the same calories, protein, carbs, etc. But I doubt the
active cultures are still active after you cook it.

I used to use yogurt in my beef stroganoff and my husband still loved it.
It's not as thick as sour cream but can be thickened with a little whipped
cottage cheese.

Check out what I posted recently from www.herbmed.org.
You have to look it up as allium sativa.

I doubt that it will taste good. Beef stroganoff probably needs fat
from sour cream or else it won't be as chewable. Try adding vegetable
oil to yogurt, maybe it will help.

Yogurt in beef stroganoff is delicious!!! I use it all the time. I do use
Greek style yogurt, if that makes a difference.
