Coming home from vacation.. 5 lbs up.... after struggeling so much against
midwest food and working so hard at cleaning the house n stuff.. I'm
bummed..

Might be an up from plane trip yesterday (not moving and lots of salty
stuff)... but still..

It seems like everytime I make any headway... I find a way to mess it
up... ARG...

I AM at a healthy weight, but I'm NOT where I want to be..

All I can do is start again.... and again... and again....

Will~

This is what I really admire in you.. your honesty to share your heart in
this Willow! I am so relating to what you're feeling, and have been lurking
as a result, because I just got back from vacation myself and haven't been
to a meeting in two weeks, but my home scale reflects that I'm up 4 lbs from
where I was when I left. rrgh. I've been home about 4 days, and only today
have I begun to concentrate on making wiser food choices. So hard, but I
know it can be done.

Anyway, you're an encouragement... so be encouraged, that it's not for
naught ; ) Hugs and support to you!
smiles,
m

) Thanks, means a lot to me!!

I have learned to be very honest about how I feel. One of the thing that got
my life to be a real mess in the past, is that I always felt I always had to
be smarter, stronger, braver, than everybody else. Guess what? I don't, and
when I don't try to be, life is so much easier! ;op

I allow myself a few minutes of self pity, of poor me and "man this is
unfair!!!!" then I just take a deep breath, look at what's going, what I
want, how I can get it... and get started... AGAIN! I'm not going to get
anywhere by sitting on my behind!

Every day of your life, you will be starting again.... in everything you do.
You take a shower one day and the next day, you gotta do it again. You
wash the dishes one day, and the next day, there they are again. You wore
your clothes, and guess what, they stink and you have to wash them again!
Life is a cycle. You will have ups and downs, but stay with counting your
points and building your nutrition with a large variety of healthy foods and
whether your weight goes up, down or plateaus, if you are in your points and
eating nutritious foods, you are building your health and the weight will be
what it should be.

)

Since I'm doing Core, I don't count points really (unless I'm having the
occasionnal non-core food) but I see what you mean, and I agree.

As I said in another post, I take a minute to feel sorry for myself and then
I take a breath and start forward again!
