Default Minor milestone with family

Yesterday was terribly busy. I was tired and it was 5:00 PM, we were
leaving the gym after my one son's trainer session and other son's and my
cardio and core work. The huge grocery near the gym was out of skim milk.
I was faced with another trip to another store and having to feed the kids,
get cleaned up and to a Back to School night in one hour. We passed a
Wendy's and a McDonald's leaving the gym parking lot. I thought it would be
so easy to just do the fast food thing, plop the bags on the table, with a
token motherly touch of getting out plates, and getting ready to go to this
school thing. However, I thought that I must stick to my guns and not do
the fast food so soon after announcing to them "The Change In Eating
Habits". Sigh...so we rushed home and somehow I managed to feed them
something healthier than fast food and get to the meeting without smelling
too badly ( on time yet, always an achievement for me). Once I could
breath normally again, I felt very satisfied with the whole thing. Elise

WTG Elsie! I know how tempting it can be to do the fast food when you're
pressed for time.

Beverly - who ate at Wendy's last night G
But I had a chicken mandarin salad with 1T of that dressing.

Congratulations, Elise! That's a big accomplishment!

Who's BJ going to train with now that Eric's leaving?

Good for you Elise,

Hey - do you have a convienence store or gas station w/ store close
by? The reason I ask is, we actually find better prices on milk in
those stores. If all we need is milk, we'll run up to the local
mobile station and grab a gallon of skim. Its about 20cents cheaper
than in the grocery. And you don't have to wait in checkout lines,
go to the back of the store, etc and so on. You are in and out in
under a min. Just a thought for future reference.

As for meals at home - I always try to keep fresh salad fixings
available, and we almost always have leftover grilled chickne or some
sort of deli meat. If I'm in a pinch for time, dinner will be a
chef salad or chicken salad.
