Thank you Damsel, that helped alot. Hanging in there. Going to think more

on
the things I can do. I got into the frame of mind today.. the things I

can't
do.

Well, cut it out! You ARE going to get better, but it takes patience. I
remember towards the end of wearing the Philly collar, I just started crying
hysterically (and I rarely cry) because I couldn't brush my own hair. It's
long, and I couldn't lift my arms much at all, so John had to do it, and I
wouldn't ask, because I hated being that helpless, and it was SO snarled-I
almost cut it all off, out of sheer frustration (no pun intended). I KNOW
how you feel, you can't do the simplest little things at times-but between
Damsel and I, we are proof that you CAN and WILL get better, and be able to
do more than you can now! A year after you get this taken care of, you will
marvel at how far you've come. Cross my heart and hope to die(t)GG

I hope so too. Its on my mind alot. The school I am going to only starts

up in
the fall, once a year. Putting it off another year would be devastating to

me.

If it happens when I am in school... Then hopefully can make some

arangements.
I am doing most of the work on a McIntosh. Looking into purchasing one, in

case
I am layed up sick and need to do schoolwork at home.

It sounds like you are planning and preparing, to be able to work with
whatever the situation hands you, I think that's awesome! I'm considering
starting school up again soon too. I was a CNA, had always planned on
getting my RN once my kids were grown, but the injury makes me think twice
about that, so I'm looking into ways to still work in the health care field
w/o putting the strain on my body.

I don't plan on wearing a bikini ever. I'm not sure what you mean by
progress on my diet, but in mid-April I was 156 pounds, and I'm 149 now. I
had that cheating weekend where I went up 2 pounds, but it came right off
the next week and took another pound with it. That was the first time I've
gained more than a half a pound in over a year of low-carbing, and it was
my wake-up call. I've tried to learn from others' mistakes, and I don't
want to be someone who gains back all they've lost.

And no, I don't know what serious exercise is yet, if you're talking about
being a professional body builder or full time athelete, but I don't plan
on being either of those things. Compared to where I was when I started,
which was 100% couch potato, I've come a long way with the exercise, and
the fitter I get the more I am able to do, and the more I _want_ to do, so
progress on that front is trending up and up.

Luna, I just wanted to say, you have been a inspiration to me. I think you are
doing great!

Thanks, I appreciate it. Actually, I feel a little guilty when people
congratulate me or whatever, because it's not difficult most of the time.
I love LC eating, I really do. All of my favorite foods are low-carb, and
I love being able to eat normal portions and feel satisfied, and have
leftovers!!! And exercise is fun now that I've found things to do that I
really enjoy. I have this totally goofy "routine" I do to music every day
now. It's kind of dance, kind of aerobics. It involves kicking, twisting,
jumping, and shaking my ass like a moron, but it gets my heart rate up and
gets me sweaty, and it's fun. I've noticed also, for some reason, that
starting the aerobics has coincided with being able to lift more on the
machiens too. Go fig.

I have only 3 flaws. My first flaw is thinking that I only have 3 flaws.

Eh, twas nuttin! It's just easy to get down when you feel so crappy, so I
wanted to remind you of the light at the end of the tunnel.

(And my hair is longer than ever, low carb is SOOO bad, right? ;))

Figs are not low-carb.
