Don't let negative thoughts make you withdraw from anything you want to do!

Tonia

Thanks Tonia .. I am working on the negative thoughts ... not easy, but it's
getting better.

They're only concerned with themselves. So
looking bad in a bathing costume is just a way to make the world a
happier place, really. :-)

Do you have any idea how many times this popped into my mind after i read it
yesterday and went to the pool? lol
THANKS

~Kat

I'm 52 years old and have lost 108 pounds in eight months.

Wow .. how did you do that?

I'm going to start water aerobics
classes on June 21.

I used to love water aerobics but the ones they have at my local Y are not
aerobic at all ... they just flop around in the water.

If I'm not afraid to let people see me in a swim
suit, no one should be.

Thank you!
~Kat

Hey Kat,

As others have said, this isn't a good way to think. Most people you
see won't pay any attention to what you look like, and if they do, so
what? There's no point in worrying about what strangers think.

your right ... and w/ almost everything else .. this is exactly what i think
.... w/ my weight it's not. wonder why?
now i have something to think about lol

Just put it out of your mind and go enjoy yourself!

Chris

Thanks Chris, I did
and my kids were so happy i was splashing around w/ them

Awww come on... You are your own worse critic. I took water aerobics
classes years ago when I weighed over 300 lbs. I was self concious at first
but then I realized that no one cared. I didn't care what other people
looked like and I am sure they didn't care what I looked like!

thanks and good for you for going then, i think that's great!!

LOL... Oh, the mental picture of that.

I only wish it were a mental picture for me lol

Hey, have you seen the new commercial -

to funny, I have had pretty much NO TV time lately. But when I'm there ...
I'll look out for it
Just a side note, I took the kids to a fun house and z (1 year old for those
that don't know) looked into the fun house mirror and she freaked out! She was
not happy her little head looked like it had been squeezed in a vise. poor kid
.... when she grows up she will be in therapy now for sure! hehe

Nah - no therapy, as long as mom learns to love her own self and self
image, and teach the girls that they are beautiful too, and keep their
self images strong. :-)

good point.
thanks

snip

I'm a judgmental type (yes, really, as if you couldn't tell) and the

only judgment I make about fat people at the gym is that they ought to
get off of the chair where they're sitting (presumably waiting for a
kid) and get busy trying to help themselves. A fat lady doing water
aerobics would get only admiration from me.

That reminds me of a lady that goes to the Curves that I do. She's very
overweight, and I was there when she was shown around on her first night,
which was well over a month ago. Since then her husband has dropped her off
several times, but she won't actually use any of the equipment- she'll
instead sit in the reception area until her husband comes back in half hour
to pick her up. Each and every time one of the staff will walk by her and
ask if she needs help or if she's ok, but she doesn't move. She has such a
wounded-bird look on her face too. I wonder why she even signed up, but
hopefully she'll decide to finally make that first step. :/

If you've lost 108 pounds shouldn't that starting number be 365?
