Default Question about Fiber/Net Carbs

Can you subtract fiber from anything to get net carbs? I have been confused
on this lately, but I"ve really only be going by the total carbs, so I might
be getting less carbs than I think.

Yes, you can subtract fiber from total carbs.

However, some labels don't follow US regulations properly, and
pre-subtract the fiber from the total. So if you're not familiar with
what the count ought to be, you might want to compare labels of other
brands of the same kind of item, or compare to USDA database figures.

Imported European products, however, label differently, and typically
have the fiber already subtracted from total carbs.
