I always have a sports bottle next to me but I have been very busy lately at
work and I must be forgetting to drink the water like I did this summer at
home. I took the summer off and and now am trying to catch up on all of my
work. I'm almost caught up.

But at least it's good addiction to have :-) Good luck with your

next
weigh-in. It sounds like you'll fine.

I weighed myself this morning before going to Curves. I was down .5

lbs
so
no real damage was done this weekend. But I have been stuck at this

weight
for 3 weeks now. I'm dehydrated and consipated. Something is

definitly
messing up my system.

Drinking more water will help both those problems. As will the
exercise. Just stick with it - things will shift eventually!

I'm going to start keeping track on how much water I am actually

drinking
these days. It may have dropped since I started back to work after labor
day. I used to drink at least 4 or 5 sports bottles of water per day.

Maybe
it has dropped without my realising it. I'm just so tired of feeling

bloated
and gassy all the time.

Have a big 2 litre bottle of spring water beside you, and make sure you
drink the whole thing during the working day!

My mother is also very opininated and does not hesitate to tell you what she
is feeling. If she does not like the shirt that you are wearing she will
tell you. She'll do this to complete strangers. My father had to keep a
short leash on her to keep her under control. Now that he is gone, we are
discovering what she is really like.

Hi, Laura, She sounds like my late mother-in-law. She was a very unhappy
person who felt the need make the people around her unhappy. Strangely,

my
husband didn't seem to notice that she was a very negative person. But
sometimes, it comes out in him. When I first joined Weight Watchers, his
words of comfort were, Don't feel bad when you don't lose the weight. I

did
lose the weight, learned about good eating and exercise. I have managed

to
keep most of the weight off.
Good for you for getting passed that and making your life better.

Thanks Catherine. It has taken quite a bit to get past my mother's

negative
attitude. She has caused me a lot of stress in the past and I have to
struggle to keep that from happening again. Our basic opinion is that my
mother is "clueless" on many things in life. But don't try telling her

that.
She thinks she is the expert on everything.

Hi, Laura, Nice work with the exercise. You have a good attitude

about
your
mom. Some people don't understand about weight loss and keeping it

off.
At
least you can get pass that and focus on the program.

4 sessions at Curves last week. This is really addictive.

We were away this weekend visting my mom. She brought up her normal
statement of "you are not losing fast enough". I kept my cool this

time
and
said I was fine with it. Maybe she'll accept that answer for a

while.
I
won't be seeing her again until Thanksgiving week. Our turn to do
elder-care
again.

Haven't looked at the scale yet. Hopefully, the damage from this

weekend
was
not too bad. We ate out both Saturday and Sunday night plus fast

food
for
lunch and dinner today. I am hoping that I made good choices--mostly
chicken
and fish, minimal desserts and bread. If I counted everything

correctly
I
did not use any flex points until today. Will be eating home for the

rest
of
the week plus I will try and up my water consumption to flush out

some
of
the salt consumed this week.

Have a good week everyone. Got to go unpack and get caught up on my

mail
and
newsgroups.

I
vaguely remember something about lemon juice as a detoxifying drink.

Once, first thing in the morning before you have anything else. You can
have as much more as you like, but the one first thing is the important
one.

This might be a good substitute for my first cup of coffee in the morning.
I'm going to put lemon juice on the shopping list.

Hi, Kate, They do come up with some names for these programs, don't they?
Since all the programs involve good eating and making good choices, they
would be about the same. The only difference the current USA system has is
counting down instead of counting up. I like it though and the change has
helped me focus.

Hi, Kate, I couldn't remember if it was still part of the UK program.
Thanks for the help.

Not since January this year, when we changes over from Pure Point to
Time to Eat (which uses exactly the same point system!).

I liked a slice of fresh lemon, squeezed and dropped into the mug. Pour
the water in on top, and leave to cool down a bit!
