What is it with this week, Lesanne? I seem to be having that same rocky time.
Was down monday and tuesday but those dang scales were up this morning, quite a
bit too. Right now I'm thinking it's salt, although I can't think of anything
I've had that was overly salty ... but tonite I can't seem to get enough to drink
and all day long I have felt bloated as can be. Tonite didn't help, frantic call
from eldest daughter saying she must have transposed the directions to a cake
recipe of mine ... damn thing came out burnt and now has nothing for desert
tomorrow. Youngest daughter was put in charge of desserts ... her favorites of
course ... my french silk pie and triple chocolate bundt cake. Tommorrow is gonna
be a wash and I weigh in on Friday. sigh I don't think praying for a miracle
is gonna help much.

WooHoo, now that calls for a celebration! Congrats on the super whoosh this week!
Cutting back on the evening snacks does help ... eliminates calories as well as
keeping that tummy empty. g

.... and just think - you have a week to recover from any Thanksgiving indulgences.

Way to go Fred, I'm thrilled for you!

I was just flabbergasted, this morning I am seriously worried about your
scrawny self, Eat Pie dude! Throw in a few buttery mashed potatoes and
gravy. (snort) how can I ever weigh less than Fred, a new goal.
I am not going to get there this week, the ole average looks average, and
today has not even passed yet

Can we say, budding anorexic? Nah, I don't believe that I have a body
image problem. As I wrote Elaine, I may try weighing in with two sets
of clothes on THEIR scale to see what info I can gleam on clothing
allowances. (got to check the pies which did not go exactly like
the recipe suggested!!!!)

We better get this bit under control or we will be right in there with all
the newbys in January trying to take off the holiday pudgies. I am
motivated this morning, we had a kind of horrible month this past month and
the stress had me down. I am draggin myself out of that trench right NOW

You are still doing incredibly well. And now with burnt desserts,
there is less to fear (gd&r)

Seriously, have a great holiday.

Scrawny I'm NOT. No need to fear - there is still a spare tire - us
over 50+ men just seem to hang on to our automobile love affairs!

And just to help - I'm a bit up again this morning as I dress for
skiing (which I'm sluggishly getting ready for!)

I am not that much of a mashed potato-type - sorry. Just plain baked
sweets or yams and I doubt anyone will keep those plain on
Thanksgiving - altho, a pre-baked one is in my fridge was we type!

Have a great turkey day even if the idea of Fall does not exist down
"bayou!"

But to rub it in just a bit.....

Yes, I did think yesterday morning that I had a good base to get into
and through Thanksgiving. Altho, I don't think my pies are anything
to write home about or keep home either!!!

THANKS for the support.

Watching what one eats, as we know, is the key. But figuring out what
triggers the desires is important probably as important as fighting
those temptations or "needs"!

Hey, I truly hope things go better but don't stress too much over the
holiday. I recall being very frustrated last year for Thanksgiving -
my first holiday on WW and attempting to stay on program was driving
me to distraction.

Besides, I can't take advantage of a charming southern woman who is
not in fighting form!!!! (gd&r) - I need a competitor who can give a a
ski for the money!

Take care
