Another great idea! I'll be traveling in a few weeks, and it will be much
easier for me to do Core than to try to journal on the road. I know I'll be
getting lots of walking in, tho - I'm going to a quilt show - always a good
way to rack up the walking miles! :-)

these are all valid reasons to stay on flex. I am doing core to be able

to
use it when traveling. I have difficulty knowing what I have eaten
throughout the day so not journaling is not a real option for me. After I
feel I know the core program well enough I will return to flex until I
travel. Lee

I'm not doing Core because I don't want to deal with a list of food I can or can't eat and also
If I feel restricted I will cheat. I rather try to eat as healthy as I can and stick to my points and
portions. I like knowing if i want a bite of a cheesecake it's okay, it just helps my mind not to feel deprived.

I'm not doing Core. And here's why.

This is a great thing to keep in mind . I want my husband
who hates keeping track of his points to try this.

I just can't really tell when I'm satisfied. I grew up with a big eating
hard working farmer as a father. He ate huge meals, cause it would easy be

6
hours inbetween meals, and sometimes longer. I grew up eating huge meals
also, but as a very active child, I burned it off. To bad I'm not that
active anymore, cause I still want to eat huge meals. I can, when I let
myself, outeat many men I know. I know I'd eat a serving that would be

twice
the size, and still not feel satisfied. IOf I could eat until I was
satisfied, I wouldn't need to be in WW.
Another reason, several food in the Core program are to expensive. If I

can
find whole wheat pastas or brown rice where I live, it's at least twice

the
cost. I live on a tight budget, and can't afford to feed a family of 5

whole
wheat pasta or brown rice. Or the lowest fat meats. Well, not if I want

to
keep paying my electric ll and my water bill.
And, I hate the taste of most fat-free stuff. It just tastes weird to me.

I
like the low-fat versions of cheese and the like, and would hate using all
my points just cause I can't stand fat-free cottage cheese and need to 1%.

So if you are not doing Core, why not. I'm just curious.

From a different perspective--I am doing core and liking it. I can
understand your budgetary issues. How about doing a combination of the 2
plans instead? Eat as many of the Core foods that you can and substitute
where your budget prohibts you. I know that we will actually save money on
this plan as we eliminated the chips, breakfast bars and other junk that

had
crept back into my menus. If foods are that expensive where you live have
you tried looking online at Costco or Sam's Clubs? You can buy this stuff

in
bulk at a much lower cost.

I'm not treating this plan any differently than the Flex when it comes to
portion sizes. I still weigh and measure my foods so that I know that my
portions have not gone haywire. I take 1 normal portion size of my meat

and
veggies like I did before. When I am done, I reevaluate how my stomach

feels
to see if I need more food. I drink some water and wait a few minutes for

my
brain to register what I have eaten. Learning to figure out when you are
satisfied is very difficult so I can understand your concerns. For me,
weighing and measuring seems to be the only way that I can deal with it.

In anycase, good luck with whatever you decide to do.

But that's what your 35 flex points are for.
