I got
to my goal of 164 in August of 2003. Been there or near there ever
since. I am training for my first triathlon right now, probably won't
actually run one until next spring. I can bike, and sort of run, but
wouldn't want to drown for lack of training....

Now THAT"s inspirational!

My name is Debbie, I live with my two daughters ages 22 and 17 and their
boyfirends who are at the house quite often and 3 cats. We live in
Stockton, California. I have been on this journey since December 30, 2000.

Starting weight (this time) 319.4
Current weight 270.8
Lowest weight in this journey 249
Goal weight 150

At this point in my life, I would be happy to be under 200 lbs. I have been
struggling lately, but I have not quit. That is my saving grace of not
gaining all my weight back and more.

I am Dian, I live with my daughter (16 yr old) and my cat tigger. I am
on my 10th week of my "trip"... so far I have lost 19,6 lbs... Hopefully
crossing that 20lb mark this week... I have a very long way to go.
Arthritis in my knees have urged me to lose this time and for that
reason I believe I will succeed...Its for more than just for fashion
sense...although that will be a bonus!

The meeting I went to throughout my losing cycle was convenient to work
- I went during lunch. After I got to goal, work relocated and I never
managed to find a meeting that I enjoyed as much. I also felt like I'd
heard it all before, and was bored a lot of the time. I find regular
reading here, and occasionally trying on my 'fat' jeans is motivation
enough

Cool idea!

I'm Julie. I live with DBF (no cats, dogs or kids) in Sydney,
Australia. I'm about 2.5 years into maintenance, and am remaining at or
around goal OK. I don't attend meetings any more. I weigh myself at
least once a week at home to keep an eye on things.

Starting weight - 93.5kg/205.7lbs
current weight - somewhere around 73-74 kg/160-163lb
goal weight - about the same as current

Ongoing goal - stay right where I am!

I'm Dustin. I've been lurking for about 7 years with occasional bouts of
good activity. :-) I wrote the points calculator for the desktop that
use to get passed around. I probably haven't posted for 2 years but I
lurk a lot. Seen a lot of people come and go. I know a lot of you by
name although so many of you probably have no idea who I am since I have
been quiet for a very long time.

There was another Dustin for a while, that wasn't me. I'm not currently
on program, haven't been for a long time but continue to lurk because it
keeps me in check. Have officially been on program 3 times, 2 of those 3
were quite successful. I'm currently in a self induced pity slump, have
been for quite some time, but I never give up hope.

There are a few names around that I know have been around since I started
with the group way back when. So many have come and gone though, kinda
sad in a way. We've even lost one or two friends who have moved on to the
other side (you decided what the other side is).

Anyway, saw the introduction thread and thought I'd rear my ugly head for
a post. :-) I dunno, maybe I'll delurk more often. Guess it depends on
the mood.

There have been a LOT of new comers the past few weeks. Welcome to you
all, you won't regret it. If you stick around you'll get to know some
great people and you'll be sad when they disappear. There have been some
interesting characters on here over the years.

28, married, 2 crazy kids (2 & 4 year old boys), Utah.

Well, that's who I am. Have not introduced myself for a loooong time.

Dustin

Thanks, Dian.I was free from October through January and then went on
several out of town trips. I pay dearly for the dinners off plan. Then
a week ago I was so close to free and went on another trip, dining with
a group of people who love food and wine. It is simply a mental thing I
need to get over. I can dine out at home and make excellent choices.
