Troll.

I don't see any posts before this establishing yourself as having tried
anything.

I you wanna talk about mood, I think the insulin from high carbs has a
depressing effect on mood. Just watch Thanksgiving diners after eating a
bunch of carbs. They all want an afternoon nap. In past years, where I
avoided the serious carbs, I found myself alone and alert as everyone else
nodded off.

That's probably the stupidest diet-related article I've ever read.

It promotes the guzzling of carbohydrates in the absence of any
protein! Any stance against protein is jaw-dropping lunacy.

Serotonin is made from tryptophan, which is an amino acid (protein
element). A meal that is rich in tryptophan (e.g. turkey meat)
promotes serotonin production.

Tryptophan is carried in the blood stream bound to albumin, as are
fatty acids. An intake of fat can help kick the tryptophan molecules
off the albumin, allowing them to be taken up by the brain where they
become serotonin. Thus, fat is involved in the serotonin story also.

It's hypothesized that high intensity stop-and-go exercise leads to a
feeling of sleepiness in a similar way to eating a fatty meal: the
release of adipose fat into the bloodstream kicks off the tryptophan,
etc.

These past days has been the worst I have had in years.

You're desperately surfing for anything which will confirm or refute
whatever you are feeling at the given moment, without pausing to think
critically.

Actually, it's posts like this that put me in a bad mood, not Atkins.

Fun nonsense in the article.

These past days has been the worst I have had in years. No more Atkins
for me.

No problem. Atkins helps depression in very many people. You
should try it rather than randomly surfing the web looking for
nonsense to post.

That just ****es me off.

Fortunately, troll is low carb. Big game meat.

Atkins has put me in a great mood! I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner for
family, extended family and friends. I have not been tempted to cheat in
the least. My appetite is down, way down.

I am pleased as punch!
