In normal people there is a control system that keeps glucose and insulin in
balance. In diabetics and hypoglycemics it sometimes doesn't quite balance,
the pancreas and liver can both overcompensate, sometimes too late to
prevent extremes.

Yeah, it just shows how different diabetics can be. I'm been type 2 for 23
years and I don't have those problems, but I'm not on any meds, either.
