Mmm... hot dogs ;-) I'll bet if ANY of you had to actually go out and get your own meat YOURSELF you'd become a vegetarian real quick! lol. Not around here. I know a lot of people who hunt, kill, and gut their own food. I've got some bambi in my freezer that my sister in law and I guttet one winter night (we have a picture of her with deer blood up to her armpits . Yummy! |

"John" wrote in message ... Low carbing is going out. People are realizing you can't live on meat and eggs and lettuce. ** Uh oh! You just ran into the Atkins Church and screamed that there is NO GOD! Watch your throat as they all attack! You must worship and believe in "low-carb" to post here. BTW, you forgot to add broccoli. :-) They eat loads and loads of broccoli for fiber. I don't care how srumptious you make a recipe, sooner or later you're going to get tired of it and go back to eating carbs. ** I wonder how long the average person sticks to low-carbing?!?!?! (I lasted 2 1/2 years.) After all, at some point they all have to count CALORIES to continue losing and to maintain. Face it. Man wasn't meant to eat meat. Ever eat a dead dog or a puppy? Same thing as eating a cow. ** I don't think so. Dog is said to be very tough and not real flavorful. Are you a vegetarian? PBS had a show about evolution and claimed our teeth are not designed to eat meat - that humans were "opportunistic" meat eaters. We have grinding teeth, not shearing teeth. So it's true, we're not carnivores. It wasn't until we discovered FIRE that we started to eat meat on a regular basis - as we could easily "grind" the meat after cooking it. I'll bet if ANY of you had to actually go out and get your own meat YOURSELF you'd become a vegetarian real quick! lol. ** Except for the few on this NG who may still hunt, and the number of hunters is dropping dramatically in the USA, you are correct. Most Americans live in cities and towns. We're not a rural people with time on our hands to be running around the woods looking to kill something for dinner. Picture a 350 lb women from this NG hiking a rifle over her shoulder and heading off into the forest for a day of hunting..... -- Wysong Age 60. How about veal? They're small enough to be considered the size of a large dog with their big wide old "puppy-dog" eyes staring back at you saying "Don't eat me!". Grilled with garlic and green peppercorns. Delicious. |

You post something along the lines of, "Low carb must make people mean! It's almost like there's a party-line here that one must ascribe to, and never question. Reminds me of communism. If you don't buy the whole LC party-line you're beneath contempt, worthy of verbally attacking - to vent the spleens of those ":true believers" here. Just read this group one day with an open mind and you'll see what I mean. I can understand the inner frustration and angst of the obese with a lifetime of rejection and self loathing behind them. However, that doesn't give these people the right to vent these negative emotions on others here. If they must viciously VENT, they should seek professional help in handling all their inner anger in a more beneficial and positive way. If they ever spoke to people in real life as they do HERE they would rapidly find themselves in the local ER. It's been done. Nobody has a gun to your head John. Just go do something different for crying out loud. ## Which he will do in either case. -- Wysong Age 60.
