Lovin' Atkins
I was on the atkins det awhile back and lost about 10 lbs before getting a
job and then getting off the diet. I'm male, 5'6" 171. I used to be 150. It's amazing what a few months of eating McDonalds will do to you. I'm back on Atkins now since 4 days ago. I'm going to stay on induction for 3-4 weeks. The biggest problem I've had was not having enough variety of food. I usually just eat tunafish and burgers with no bun. Plus, water gets boring. So today I went shopping and got bacon, sausage, eggs, sirolin burgers, chicken (no skin), bagged salads, plus some great dressing. I also got some Acadia Fruit Springs flavored water, sweetened with Splenda. It tastes great! Kicking soda was hard to do, but with this drink I know I can do it. Plus, I am lifting weights every other day and power walking 3-4 miles every other day. Hopefully in 4 weeks I can be down to 150 again. I'd really like to go to 145, but we'll see. I don't know if I'll stay on Atkins after I reach that goal, but I will stop drinking so much soda, sugar, and really watch what I eat. |
