Excuse me? Do you have any data to hold up that interesting theory?

Yeah, I have a different theory. The average man has more muscle mass than
the average woman, this is true even in overfat people. Bodies with more
muscle burn more calories even at rest.

No data, other than what I have seen in the office and when I was at weight
watchers. I never forget all the cheaters and they are women. Then they
always say how easy it is for a man to lose weight. Well, yeah, because I
don't cheat all the time. It is amazing the amount of women that cheat and
think they should still lose weight.

It is just an observation in general. That doesn't mean that you or all
women cheat, just quite a few of them seem to.

I don't mean to upset anyone.

I wonder if your data can be extrapolated into relationship cheating.

Add to that the whole TOM issue. I can doe the WOE to the letter
without any cheats etc. and not lose an ounce, if it is the two weeks
before my TOM. If those are the weeks you start a low-carb diet, it
must be very frustrating. If you don't lose (or not as much) then, it
has nothing to do with being "strict" or not, it is purely hormonal.

Perhaps because most women have food on their mind more than
men? For instance, in a relationship, the woman usually
does all or most of the shopping and cooking, thinking all
the while about menus and what her man wants to eat,
variety, etc. (is that old fashioned or what?) The man just
eats and then moves on, forgetting about food, while the
woman is already planning for the next meal. IMO of course.

Default When Did You Begin To See Results????????????

Others saw my loss in my face first- then in my belly. my arms and legs are
thinner- I had arm muscles like a truck driver which I'm now convinced were
really briskets loaded with fat.

After 23 pounds I see something new in the mirror, the bottom curve of my
rib cage- I'm getting my curves back! yuppie! I'm still in my smaller jeans,
but they are loose. It was a treat to get new underwear in a smaller size.
I'm going to burn anything 2XX if no one wants them.

When you all began this diet, when did you begin to see results

physically?

On the scale, I was down 2.5 lbs the very next day. I don't think I

noticed any
VISIBLE change for about a week, though, and then it was probably smaller
fingers. Although I keep a log of my weight and a food diary, I don't

really
remember exactly how long it took to notice other changes. I Googling my

asdlc
posts and saw that on day 15 I posted that I noticed that my arm was

lighter when
I reached up to scratch my head and that my belly was starting to get

squishy :-)
I had lost 7 lbs the first week and was still only 7 lbs down at that

time.

I guess that depends on your definition of "see". I could feel results by
the second day. My size 18's were bursting at the seams. I could get them
buttoned in the morning, but being the carb addict I was by later afternoon
I had to unbutton them just to get through the day. On the second day of
phase 1 (SBD) I made it through the day with my pants buttoned.

Not sure how someone can see results from a diet right away? I usually

see
some results in a week or two. It depends on how big I was. When I was

250
it took longer to see results as far as appearance. The scale I saw big
results though.

I think many women take a little longer to see results. They are many

times
not as strict as men.
