Default Low-Carb Eye For The Fat Guy?

When I was doing some banking today, I found out that the teller is on a
low-carb WOE. Then she told me that the bank Manager as well as the Loan
Officer are both on low carbohydrate diets! I talked to them and swapped lc
stories for quite a while; they were telling me about a lot of other
business people in this small town who are doing lc also ... an insurance
broker; a maintenance worker, etc.

It's surreal to me because when I started Atkins three years ago it was
anathema. When someone was on a low-carb diet, it was right up there on the
"top-ten-list-of-things-you-want-to-keep-secret" just ahead of cocaine
addiction, child molestation, wife beating, embezzlement and cross-dressing.

But with all the positive publicity in the past few months, Atkins has
seemingly been "outed" and is becoming mainstream. What's next -- a TV show
entitled "Low-Carb Eye For The Fat Guy?" ;-)

LOL! Post made me laugh this morning and I agree with ya. I am no
longer skeered to tell people I am LCing! I am actually giving advice
to newbies at work.

I feel constrained to point out that cross-dressing is nowhere near as
serious and negative as the other things in your list.

That's true. Lately more people are open about it. I frequently meet
other happy LCers. Maybe it's just becoming more popular.

You know, in reality, a happy, funny gang of charming Gay guys normally
don't unite to teach a straight guy how to dress himself. That's what
you call "fantasy TV".

The Queen of Cans and Jars is a known bigoted, narrow-minded hater. I can't
believe that there are still people who haven't killfiled her yet!
