Default So ... here I am once again.

I started posting here last month sometime, got caught up in life, gained my 6
lost pounds back (plus 2) rather quickly and once again I feel like I'm
drowning in my own blubber.
This time I have enlisted the help of my DH. Who also has a significant amount
of weight to drop. We are going to do this together.
Today is our 1st day of the South Beach Diet. So far, so good. (hehe it's
only 9:08 a.m.)
We have also joined the local YMCA (thanks JayJay for the tips on looking for a
discount, we ended up getting a pretty good one using our medical insurance
company.)
I'm not so sure about the SBD, I am finding it a little confusing. But I have
decided to stick w/ it because low carb has helped me tremendously in the past.

I need to drop about 50 lbs.
If anyone else here on the SBD?
Thanks
~Kat

Welcome back, Kat. I'm sure it will make it easier now that you've
included your DH in the new woe/wol. Congrats on joining the Y.

I've read part of the South Beach Diet book and found it interesting. It
seems like a sensible plan. Hope it works for you.

I'm not on it but a good friend at work is and has lost 15 pounds so far.
She loves it and finds it easy to stick to. I just got the book to see if
it would make a decent long-term WOE, but it's going to be a while before I
read it. (Need to finish Fattitudes & then read Franken's book first).

I'm not (just counting calories and exercising more), but from what
I've read it sounds pretty sensible.
