Default Thirteen weeks gone, and so is a lot of me

Thirteen weeks ago I weighed myself at 267.9 pounds and started my diet, and
today I'm at 229.4, a 38.5 pound loss. Yay!

I figure if I can stick with my diet for thirteen weeks (a quarter of a
year) then I can probably see it through to the end. I've even gone so far
as to call Weight Watchers and find out my old lifetime member number! I
don't want to go back until I'm below my old WW goal of 202, but I'm
confident I can do it.

Easter was a bit hard to deal with, all the traditional foods and "extras,"
but with fasting on Good Friday everything sort of evened out for the week!
That's not what the fasting is for but I don't mind the side effects!

So now its back to my regular eating plan; coffee and an apple or oatmeal
for breakfast; plain boiled pinto beans, a little salsa, a few ounces of
banana chips for lunch; and for dinner three glasses of fat free milk, half
a dozen prunes, and the entree d'jour.

do you mean the end of your life?

The reason why I am asking is, it is not too farfetched to imagine
that the amount of food that you are eating now at 229, that makes you
lose 3 lbs per week, is quite possibly close to what you will have to
be eating *forever* once you reach a reasonable weight, like, 190 lbs
or so. (I remember that you are quite tall) My guess is that after you
reach your goal weight, you would be able to afford a little more
food, but not much more. I did some back of the envelope calculations.

Yes, I've figured about the same thing myself. That's why I'm making the
eating changes which are satisfying to me and give me the proper balance of
nutrition, and that I can live with indefinitely. At 200 pounds I'll
probably be stable with around 2200 daily calories, but that's assuming my
beginning sedentary activity level. I'll probably be able to increase the
calories burned, even now I'm finding I'm much more active during the day.
I've had three or four real good days now with my feet not hurting, due to a
change in my orthotics plus my loss so far.
