Body for Life Challenge Week 11
With one week to go I'm back down to 189 (I started 11 weeks ago at
195.) It's a see-saw these days, sometimes I'm up, someetimes I'm down. My measurements are slowly crawling down, though, so I know that the slow fat loss is real. I worked out four days this week, but one day I worked out twice. It's unusual for me to miss three days but I was up against a client deadline and I swore I wouldn't leave my desk until I finished it. I was physically CRAVING a workout and it was just killing me to miss it on Wednesday. I ended up being up until 3:30 am to finish the project. I was so tired the next day that my workout looked endangered then, too. But I played a tried and true trick on gullible ole me. You know those people who are indolently riding a recumbant bike without raising a sweat? I figured I could go to the gym and at least do a workout like that. But when I got there, all suited up for exercise, I wasn't able to let myself just do something wussy. I ran a few miles on the treadmill, instead. I felt much more energetic afterwards. (But I did go to bed early that night.) There are almonds in the house and those are the focus of my next week's efforts. I must avoid the almonds. No almonds. Bad almonds. (MMMMmmmm, almonds!) Oh, and my other challenge: I'm single parenting three kids this week. It could make finishing this BFL challenge more difficult - if I let it. Wendy |
