Cool Have you heard of Tony Ferguson

HI,

I was currently in Boots looking at ways to lose weight as i am very unhappy with my weight since i was 18 (16 years ago).

I can across a diet called Tony Ferguson. I wanted to know if anyone else has ever heard of the programme, if so can you give me a bit of information to whether it works, costs and any other relevent information i may need.

Thanks.

A quick look indicates it's a commercial operation where
the essential idea appears to be replacing two meals a
day with bars, shakes or soup which you obtain from them.
The remaining meal/food is low glycemic. There is
also a membership fee, etc. to join, though maybe you
can do the diet without the membership.

It may not be the worst thing and it might work for some.
But why would you want to replace two meals a day with
bars or shakes which are essentially highly processed
products when a proven plan like Atkins allows you
to eat real food for 3 normal meals? I have no problem
with an occasional bar or shake as a snack or meal
replacement, but I would not make it the center of my
diet. I would bet that you're going to feel hungry
most of the time too, because I doubt one of those shakes
is going to satiate you like an omelet, a chef's salad, or
chicken would. The soup they sell comes as a mix and
you add water. I bet it's full of all kinds of interesting
processed junk too. I don't know about you, but I prefer my
food to be real.

Yes, but he also contains lots of fructose and glucose.

"Protein shakes" are not a substitute for REAL food.

I'd avoid Tony like the plague.

PS: One thing he did get right -- NO GRAINS.
