Default Day 44 -- still 23 pounds gone

Day 44 and still 23 pounds gone

I got on my scale just now and the indicator still did not go lower
than 242. (Actually it might have gone a pound higher had I let it do
so.) So I'm still officially at 242. I had about 1300 calories
yesterday and so I'm doing pretty well with the calorie deficit.

Life is getting busier day by day, and my far better half said that if
I want to take on a new project, I should give up a project I'm
engaged in now. Probably right - only so many hours in a day, a week,
etc.

I hope to go exercising tonight. I left the office at 7:30 PM last
night and hope to get home much earlier tonight. Even if I don't go up
my hill, then going up and down my flight of stairs with a heavy
backpack might be good for me. Snowshoeing this Sunday is planned, the
weather permitting.

I hope everyone has a great day and rest of the week!

Yours truly,

Caleb

Caleb, are you progressing as you thought you would? Are you pleased
with your progress?

Mike -- Yup -- things are going pretty much as I anticipated. And I'm
delighted with my progress. A little faster than some would lose and a
little slower than others would lose.

And I'm very pleased with the progress. It's a matter of maintaining
task focus and having an effective weight loss program. I'm being
"good enough" and I am pretty sure I'm going to be "good enough for
long enough."

Thanks for asking!

Yours,

Caleb

Very encouraging.

I've been fluctuating between 180 to 183 pounds for in the last 16
days. I was wondering what was going on. Yet I've been taking about
1650 calories in average during that period. This morning, I have
finally reached a number in the 170's. I weighted 179. I have not
drank a lot in the last two months. I'm starting to drink much more
water. Hopefully, it will make a difference.

3 slices of Russian rye bread: 210 calories
with two tablespoons of natural peanut butter: 180 calories
and 2 tablespoons of sugarless strawberry jam 40 calories
5 semi-sweet Baker's chocolate pieces (chocolate for receipies): 750

Mike -- you're doing great!

Great improvement for you! I sure agree with water, except a lot of
water before bed at night.

Keep it up!

Yours,

Caleb

A diet that is 50% chocolate, and the other 50% PB&J on Rye? And you
call that "great improvement"?

Sigh.

Del -- He's losing weight, is enthusiastic. My wife would say the
chocolate is good. 50% pb&j on bread is probably as good or better
than what a lot of Americans eat, especially if he's making it
temporary to get down to a health weight.

Sorry, no sighs from me, but congratulations!

Or do you have a fool-proof diet one that everyone likes? Or one even
close to it?

Yours,

Caleb
