Default sugar alcohol

I see this ingredient deducted from the gross carbs in many products both
with the Atkins label and others.

This has probably been posted before but I searched the NG and found
nothing.

What's the final word on sugar alcohol effect on the Atkins diet?

I'd be interested in this answer also....

in addition, what about alcohol? Scotch, for example, has zero carbs,
but from my experience, (non-scientific) I think it stalls me... I
hope someone proves me wrong on this.. so I can head back to the
liquor store

http://www.geocities.com/jenny_the_bean/products.htm discusses the "net
carb" phenomenon in some detail. I hope it helps answer your question.

I don't think you searched.

the final word is: if it has sugar alcohol, do not eat it.

snip

No that's not the final word. That's your opinion.
