You might feel more comfortable starting in a regular department
store. No one will pay much attention to you, and since the Misses
size racks include things that go up to 18 or so, you won't look like
someone who won't fit the clothes.

Sometimes I forget that I am just about
out of plus sizes... until I catch a glimpse in a mirror or a shadow. Then,
I am like "wow", I can't believe it. Do you know what I mean?

I still have exactly that experience :-). Sometimes when I look at
myself critically in the mirror at home I feel like I look about like
I always did. But I can catch a glimpse sometime and almost not
recognize myself.

I see the old pictures of me and can't quite believe it's me. I *almost*
don't remember being that big. Then other times I pull my new jeans out
of the washing machine and wonder why they're so lightweight.

Amazing

Chris, you bring back sweet memories to me of when I weighed 'your
weitght' and I wore 10s and 12s. They were great times for me as my
health was so good plus I felt wonderful inside
Have you gotten down by cutting cals plus exercising? Or did you get a
by-pass?
I'm always reading your posts. You are doing so well.
You should be very proud !!!!
I'm doing Dr Phil's seven steps. This is a very honest book and it helps
me on this journey.

Perple, When I lost my 100 pounds several years ago I seemed to find
myself almost mourning. I couldn't figure this out but it passed after a
time. I got myself into a differant feeling 'inside' myself but it too
long for me! I'm up to a higher weight but not until I got dependent on
my wheel chair again. I have ms and now I'm in a good remission My
weight is difting lower once again but I know I will never be real high
again! I think we have deep changes if we lose weight like you are
doing. You are changing EVERYTHING! plus you are learning a new life !
Good for you! You ARE doing this !!
Congrats!!!

When I had first lost my over 100 lbs , my DH was looking for me in the
mall and he told me he 'hardly knew me anymore' and that felt really
WONDERFUL!

This thread is a good one and I believe it is such a help to me as I
look at myself today. Great posts !

Everyone have a great Thrsday!!

ciao,

Thank you Gloria,

It helps to correspond with people that "get it". I am glad that you have
such a great attitude.
