Scale Pointers
My Health-O-Meter scale has little colored pointers which slide around the edge
of the dial to mark reference weights. I never use them because they tend to get moved easily when cleaning. In a moment of boredom yesterday I set one at my starting weight and one at my current weight. Wow! I know I've loss a lot but seeing that graphical presentation really was impressive. Loss another pound this week. Only 4 since last Thanksgiving but the trend is still down and my body doesn't seem to want to lose very fast anymore. It's a WOL now for me so speed doesn't matter. BillJ 254/170/168 Atkins since 6/20/01 That's one bad thing about electronic scales -- they don't have scale pointers. Maybe they could do something like my heart rate monitor does -- you enter in your height, weight (age and sex, although these aren't used in the calculation), and it flashes "obese" at you. Maybe that would give me more incentive (or more incentive to crush the device?). -- Bob M in CT Remove 'x.' to reply |

We just bought a Taylor Professional at Sam's Club, because we still haven't found out which box our Tanita is packed in. The Taylor has the colored markers, as well. It's very gratifying to see the large gap between starting weight and current weight. And the 5 pound monthly challenge doesn't seem all that big, because the pointers are quite close together. I like this scale! I'm going to have a hard time choosing which one stays in my computer room and which one goes to my SO's computer room.
