I am simply trying to make a list of low-carb foods that are easy to
find in common grocery stores. If my "junk food for diabetics" post
looked like spam, I'm sorry. I guess I worded it wrong.

Hi John

I found your site humerous but the page setup is just too wide and one must
scroll to read each line)

Breyer's CarbSmart Ice Cream, fudge bars and ice cream bars; Dove Sugar Free
Rich Dark Chocolates with Chocolate Creme, also come in mint and raspberry.
I don't know how easy to fine, I get he CarbSmart at Kroger's and the Dove
candy at KMart though I think I have seen it elsewhere as well.

Yes, most of those foods are really not good for you.

Sorry. I built it for 1024 and up since site stats on most of my sites
(I don't have any commercial sites) show only a few percent of viewers
still use 800. Please bare with me.

Thanks. Kroger's and Kmart... that's common enough. I'll add the Dove.
Already have the Carbsmart ice cream but not the fudge bars and ice
cream bars.

Weight Watcher's Flakes n Fiber with Oats (natural cinnamon flavor) with
milk sweetened with artificial sweetner is nice and fairly low carb and
so it Kellog's All-Bran Extra Fiber.

They aren't "Everywhere" but are worth searching for.

WASA Fiber Rye crispbreads are pretty low in carbs and are a great basis
for snacks or "fake pizzettes" or just plain heated with butter, garlic
and Parmesian Cheese.

There are books of traditional recipes for low carb cooking, and the
ingredients lists of those recipes will give you many more ideas for
store bought low carb munchies.

Yesterday, I went shopping at publix. I searched for those wasas and
couldn't find them. Are they common in your area? Tonight I have to go
to walmarts, I'll look there. I've, pretty much, given up on breakfast
cereals - I've found low but not under 10 net carbs... haven't totally
given up... I'll try to find those you listed

Thanks
John

Some stores put the WASA over in the Deli section, not with the other
cracker like things. Drives you nuts.

The net carb content of WASA flavors and formulations varies from about
5 net to maybe 12 net per cracker.

Some stores put the low carb flatbreads and tortilla things over in the
Deli section. WalMart has nice affordable low carb flatbreats "FlatOut
brand" and they are in the Deli section right below the display case in
the WalMarts in my area.

Some stores have a "low carb" area, but many of the regular foods which
just happen to be low carb are scattered throughout the store.

Have you read about "Dreamfields" low net carb pasta products?

Most of the time they are in the pasta section, but there was one chain
of stores that put them in the HEalth Foods section.

You might even check Health Foods for some low carb items. But mostly,
you will find things like Protein this and that or Zone stuff or things
of that nature, if they are there at all.
