Default Is Atkins right for me?

Hi there,

My sister has justed started the Atkins diet. I was just wondering if its
right for me.

I rarely eat bread unless its a thin crust pizza without the cheese,
probably only once a month, and I don't eat pasta, rice or potatoes.
I eat fruit for breakfast and usually an apple around mid afternoon and
salad and tuna for dinner.
I know this is nuts, and your probably rolling your eyes right about now. My
problem however is with sugar and junk.
Would going on atkins help me curb my sugar cravings? or would it simply
make me gain weight by introducing more meat into my diet?

Thanks in advance for any opinions.

I am afriad this is not a question anyone here can answer for you. However
the vast majority of people who go on the Atkins diet and stick to it are
quite successful. I lost nearly 40 pounds in under 3 months.

As for the sugar cravings, if you stick it out I think you have a good shot
of getting rid of them because your body will adjust to not having the
sweets. You shouldn't gain weight if you follow the diet by the book.

Best of luck,
FF
