Default EAT: Anyone for Nuts?

I realise that "nuts" have a bad name with regard to dieting. They are
high in calorie and fat, similar to butter in that you end up
consuming huge amount of calories for a small amount.

However, nuts are rich in vitamin and minerals. Vitamin E is very rich
in almonds. Recommended daily allowance for Selenium can be obtained
from a handful of brazil nut. Peanuts, chicken and fish are the only
natural food (that I could find that are rich in niacin). About the
only thing that nuts lack are Vitamin A,C,D and B12. Nuts are also
high in fiber.

I realise that most nuts come in the oil-salted/sugar coated form. I
generally try to avoid those and go for the dried form(on its own), if
your lucky you can see them being sold in the cake mix section.

Due to its low-carb(high fat) content I tend to overeat on its own so
I try to eat them together with other foods(that are high in
carbohydrate) to feel more satisfied with my meal.

I have written more articles on food under the title "EAT:"
