When is best time to weigh yourself?
If I weigh myself right when I get out of bed I'm about 7-8 lbs lighter than
when I weigh myself right before bed. Which reading should I be going by? |

It really doesn't make any difference, pick one time of the day/week/month and be consistent. It doesn't do any good to compare a wakeup reading with a bedtime reading if you are looking a a wieght loss trend, apples and oranges you know. I wiegh myself weekly, on Saturday morning right after I get up. It makes me feel a little better since I know that is likely my lightest time of the week. BJ |

And always weigh yourself at the same time. For me, it's as soon as I get up in the morning, because I seem to lose the most weight while I sleep. -- Jim Marnott 231/194/194 (Hit goal on 22 Nov '03 -- exactly 6 months later) Atkins since 22 May '03 Gym since 1 sept '03 |

A complete metabolism of either fat or carbs results in only these two molecules anyway. In fact, indirect calorimiters (like the BodyGem) measure your metabolism by comparing your "in" breath with your "out" breath. Plus most people use the toilet before weighing in the morning. |

Do you think it'll survive the strain on it's heart? -- revek And next: surprising research that shows that if you lose weight, you may be lighter than you were before! Trey |
