Black Soybeans,

What's your carb level? You could probably do some blueberries or
strawberries.

Thanks for the link to black soybeans. I did not realize they had such
few carbs.

When I misbehave on my diet, that is what I eat, berries or melons. I
believe those have the least amount of carbs. I looked at the amount of
carbs in a banana, and I was surprised that it had 36 carbs.

Becca, there are some good low carb breads now, and black soybeans are
almost completely fiber and protein, virtually zero carb. I always have
them on hand.

Black soybeans sound pretty good to me. I used to make a nice black
bean salad, I wonder if I could do that with soybeans?

My next quest, is to find low carb bread.

There are so many, from my favorite pita, Kontos pocketless low carb
pita or Toufayan low car pitas to Toufayan low carb wraps, Weight
Watchers multigrain bread, The Baker brand flax or multigrain or bran
bread.

Lots of options out there.

Susan

Thanks for the info. I will check this out when I go shopping.

In article , Becca says...

Thanks for the info. LabCorps has not made these changes, so I may
bring that to their attention when I go back.

Becca

My test results are in from yesterday. When compared to September of 2007, they
are pretty good:

Total Cholesterol was 153, now 166
Triglycerides was 153, now 66
HDL Cholesterol was 27, now 41
LDL Cholesterol was 96, now 112
Total Cholesterol/HDL Ratio was 5.7, now 4.0
Fasting Glucose was 126, now 112

I just returned from a business trip where I didn't avoid carbs as much as I
could have. So my numbers would have been even better had I stayed strictly on
the LC course.

Mark
