"Auntie Em" wrote in message ... Hoping to lose a little weight I took a very physical job in July. This job consisted of three hours Monday through Friday of stooping, bending, carrying, climbing stairs, mopping floors, etc. I am here to tell you it was one hell of a work out. I started sweating profusely about the first 15 minutes I got there and continued for the entire 3 hours. Also, during this time my diet did not change at all. In fact, I would say that I snacked less since I was working those three hours during a time which I would most probably be snacking . After three months, did I lose an ounce? Not a friggin' ounce - not one. Not one. What kind of "snacks" are you eating? -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----== Over 100,000 Newsgroups - 19 Different Servers! =----- |

Can you do the physical labour more easily than when you first started? Marisa |

I am also very discouraged with my weight as it STAYS with me! I seem to
never lose but I eat less and less. I felt that it is because I can't exercise enough but while you exercise VERY with HARD work ,you lost no weight. Sometimes it just can't make sense. I can see that you would have some EXTRA muscle now. You must FEEL differantly as your body would be in better shape I would think. Sounds BETTER than going to a jym:) glo |

Some people can lose weight just with exercise. I'm not one of those
people, and apparently neither are you. As always, YMMV. Kasey 365/230/??? |

"Kasey" wrote in message om... Some people can lose weight just with exercise. I'm not one of those people, and apparently neither are you. As always, YMMV. It also depends upon how much exercise you're getting. If you're running 50+ miles a week, you will lose weight and probably can't eat enough. Running also helps decrease one's appetite, btw. But, if you're doing a couple hours a wek of walking and light weights, then no, you probably won't be able to lose weight just with working out. Martha |
