Default Day 25 of my new WOL

Yesterday was an odd day. I didn't eat breakfast then went off to
gym. Ate fruit when I got back. I headed out to one of those
infernal food meetings and was truly hungry so I ate two small
(almost "mini") hamburgers and more fruit.

Then I headed out to another food meeting. Just before the end I
checked my messages on the cell phone and my flat mate had invited
me to join him and the staff at a catering gig to have supper there
(he is a caterer and restauranteur). So I rushed out of the meeting
before the food and social time started (what are they going to
think of me?) and headed out to join my flat mate. I used to go to
the restaurant all the time, but don't do that now, so it was a
treat. I had a delicious late dinner of roasted venison, roasted
vegetables, rice and gravy. I had a large glass of sangria with
that, and a cognac after dinner instead of dessert.

Not, perhaps the best day in terms of planning, but life happens.

Doesn't sound too bad. Clearly you made some good choices where you
could have made others. Often things don't go the way we plan;
learning to adapt to this is a key part of changing our lifestyle.

I'm learning. Slowly.

I think you did well Moira. In situations where you aren't planning the
meal it can be hard, especially when it's every meal. Sounds like you made
the best choices you could under the circumstances.

More than half my meals every week are "out the house" meals, so I
*really* need to learn to deal with them as part of my lifestyle.
