Don't worry about vegetables too much. Try pecans, almonds, and walnuts
instead.

Penelope is too fat to be giving advice anyway.

I have been lifting weights for the past 4 months. I decided 2 days ago

that
I wanted to lose a little of the flubber so that muscle definition
could

be
seen, and read up on low carb diets. I am currently 198lb, and roughly
20-25% body fat.

snipped food intake description

Where the bloody heck are your veggies? Low-carb does not mean all meat

and
cheese. You're going to be a VERY unhappy (and probably not too healthy)
camper if you don't start getting some good low-carb veggies in there
several times per day...

Peace,
Pen

Yes I know, I do eat some vegetables, but I have never really eaten that
many. The taste just doesn't appeal to me. Is there some way I can prepare
them which really won't matter how they taste, because I want to eat them,
I
just feel like I am going to vommit sometimes when I eat some of them.

Try some Indian curries or Thai stir-fries etc. Very flavorful sauces, the
flavor of the veggies hardly comes through at all.

I'd suggest starting with some prepared dishes to see which you like. Then
if you need to economize you could buy fresh vegetables and put some
prepared sauces on them.

Try dipping some of them in ranch dressing. try them in salad which
dressing and fish or chicken. Try them with tuna salad.. Melted cheese.

Or
just try them raw....that they way I prefer most of the ones I eat like
broccoli and cauliflower.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I bought some vegetables I never really
ate before a few days ago, spinach, broccoli and brussel sprouts. Ill just
try and work them into my diet, for instance with my bacon and eggs today, I
mixed in 2 big leaves of spinach chopped up, and it didn't really taste bad
at all.

It's also a first for me trying fish in a can, I bought some salmon in a
can, I just hope I can stomach that with some vegetables or something along
those lines.

Thanks for the welcome everybody.

Good luck on the veggies

I resolved to eat more vegetables ... I don't like vegetables ... and I
don't like exercise ...

Last shopping trip I bought fresh spinach, celery, cucumbers, and Lighthouse
Blue Cheese dip.

Being the effecient kind of person I am ... I said "hey ... I'm just using
these vegetables to actually eat the dip ... wouldn't it be easier to just
use a spoon?"

So I did!

The best I seem to be able to do is to eat 1 pound of fresh frozen green
beans a week, and about 3 pounds of fresh frozen strawberries a week. The
rest is prime rib, fish, chicken, eggs, almonds, mayonaise ... and
multi-vitamins, calcuim, vitamin E, selenium and essential fatty acid
capsules.

This brings up the age old question:

If you supplement your diet with an array of vitamins and minerals ... will
your body be okay without veggies?

Does anyone have info to support my "belief" that supplements actually help
(not just enrich the urine).

Sorry, just can't seem to "force" myself to eat veggies.

Don't be surprised if your tastes change over time. After low carbing for
awhile I tried brussel sprouts, a veggie I've detested for at least 40
years. They've become one of my favorites!

And don't underestimate how good some vegetables can taste with just plain
butter or butter and some seasoning on them.
I love low carb! lol
