Default My first mini-goal achieved!

Hi y'all,

I think its been about two weeks since my last post. I usually only get
time on the weekends to read and post, but last weekend was a busy one.

I am happy to announce that as of this morning's weigh-in I have met my
first mini goal!!! And 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Way back in January when
I started this journey, I had set a goal to lose 25lbs by the first week of
May. I got on the scale this morning and "ta da!" 25 pounds lost! It feels
so good to have accomplished a goal.

My next mini goal will be to lose 10 more pounds by Canada Day which is July
1st. That gives me 12 weeks to lose the 10lbs. I think it is reasonable.
According to FitDay I will need to lose about 0.843lbs per week to meet my
goal. I sure hope I can do it!

That is wonderful, Willow! Twenty-five pounds is a great accomplishment! No
more carrying around a giant bag of cat litter every day -- or carrying 100
sticks of butter on your body! Great job!

Thanks Mary! Yeesh, a giant bag of cat litter -- I never thought about it
that way. Now if only I could lose about 2 more bags -- wow!

Congratulations, Willow! 25 lbs. is a big accomplishment! I bet
you'll make your Canada Day goal with room to spare.

I'm pretty confident you will be. You seem to have just the right
mindset for this, and that's most of the battle.

Congratulations on meeting your mini goal, Willow!

I set similar mini goals the whole year I lost weight and met every one.
It's very motivating. It wouldn't have been nearly as much fun if I had
just started by saying I wanted to lose 97 pounds.

Keep up the good work - you're doing it *right*.

Thanks Wendy! I know I still have 45lbs to reach my ultimate goal, but
setting mini-goals makes it seem achievable and not so overwhelming.

Thanks Chris! That's exactly it! My way of thinking about food and
exercise has totally changed and I feel really comfortable with it. For the
first time, I feel like I can do this -- all the way. It's not a diet, it
really is a way of life. I owe a lot to this group for helping me see the
light so-to-speak.
