Default More family members joining the low-carb WOE

Good news. I just found out that my brother and his family, having heard
about the success that my wife and I have been having doing Atkins, and
seeing the weight loss success some of their friends have also had eating
low-carb, decided to start with this WOE. At this point they have been at
it for nearly two weeks and are going strong. I think that this is
wonderful.

I shared my before and now pictures with my brother, he had not seen me
since mid-September. He, as he stated it, "was floored" by the difference
and was happy to have me for inspiration. Though I don't feel particularly
inspirational, I am very happy that he is excited about doing and continuing
this, and I have, in my own small way, been able to help.

Now we are trying to figure out how to get our father, recently diagnosed
Type II diabetic, to seriously consider starting this WOE. He has asked for
help, literally, but I'm not sure yet that he is ready and willing to get
started. I hope so, but any suggestions as to how I might help get past any
potential stubbornness on his part will be most welcome.
