I'm afraid I have to add an extra 2pts to yesterdays' journal, taking me
over target by 2.5pts (a mini chocolate bar and a small amount of low fat
cheese). Ah well....

Here's today's so far:

B:
Weetbix, et al 4.5pts

L:
Bean and veg soup et al 5.5pts

S:
Chocolate croissant (this is where the day started falling apart) 3pts???
Mandarin 0.5
Apple 1
Cookie 0.5
After work drinkies and nibbles 10??? (there were a few glasses of red,
some cheese, some low fat crackers and dip).

D:
Just finished a WW frozen dinner which was not too bad but incredibly salty
3.5

Total thus far 28.5

I did go for my walk this morning (2pts). I still want something sweet for
afters, so I'm probably going to end the day on about 30 (10 over target).
I'm seeing that there's some catching up to be done over the next few days.
Good thing I'm posting this to keep me honest!

Here's mine for today:

B: egg substitute (1) + ww hamb roll (1)

L: 3oz chicken breast (3) + miracle whip (1) + ww hamb roll (1) + baby
carrots (0) + cottege cheese double (3)

D: 5.5 oz lean steak (7) + carrots/snowpeas (0) + small sherbet (4) + small
apple (1)

Total 24

Lots of water
No exercise today - I worked late today

WI is tomorrow but I am not anticipated any loss. Probably a gain unless
something magical happens overnight. Despite being on or below points all
week the scale is still up 1 point from last saturday. TOM is around the
corner so I am assuming that is the cause of the lack of scale movement. If
I am lucky the difference between the home and WW scale is enough to show
even a slight loss. Very frustrating week.

Next week shall be a real challenge. We head to mom's on Wednesday. Thursday
we drive to Maine to pick her up and bring her down to her house on Friday
morning. So Wednesday to Friday are going to be really hectic. And due to
the change in location, I will not have a WI until 6/29. I will put my
visits to Curves on hold for the summer but I have renewed my membership to
the water aerobics classes 3x a week (45min). I did this last summer and
loved it.

I feel like I did ok today, although dinner may have caused more problems than I'm
giving it credit for. Oldest daughter took us out to dinner for father's day,
chose the golf course a few short blocks from the house. They have a very limited
menu ... sandwiches, burgers and fish fry - that's it. Obviously limited choices,
none of which is great - dinner points had to be guestimated as I have no clue
whatsoever. The pieces of fish were very small (also very good).

B: 3.5 points
whole wheat english muffin (2 pts)
1.5 cup cantaloupe/honeydew/pineapple (1.5 pt)
coffee

L: 2.5 points
1.5 cup summer salad soup - killed it off finally (1 pt)
scallops (1.5 pts)
1 cup veggies (0 pt)

D: 20 points (total guesswork)
fried fish fingers (10 pts)
salad w/ ff raspberry vinaigrette dressing (1 pt)
10 small french fries - maybe (4 pts)
a few small onion rings (4 pts)
1/2 cup cola (1 pt)

That's it - no snacks at all today, not hungry, too busy

total points used: 26
target: 18-23
activity points earned: 3

If I guessed right, then I did ok ... if not, it will more than likely work out as
the rest of the day was virtually nothing. I do expect the scale to be up
tomorrow regardless. Past history of dining at this place appears to show mega
water retention, probably high sodium foods.

Official scale results today had me up an ounce or two at 132.7 (late night
popcorn???). This is still a 2 pound loss from last Friday, 3.6 pounds since we
have started posting our journals here (and where I had been hovering consistently
for a few days). All in all, I am happy and feeling positive.

I'd contemplated not journaling yesterday, wasn't in the mood, have some *junk*
taking up most of the brainpower. I sat here for I don't know how long, trying to
remember what I had for lunch. I remembered the soup, couldn't remember the rest.
It finally came to me, so I figured what the heck, might as well stay honest with
myself. I probably should go back and add a point (but I'm not gonna) - had a
handful of grapes sometime during the wee hours. And of course, just the scale
working the way it normally does, todays weight was further down than yesterday
.... barely into the 131's, but there nonetheless. I haven't seen 131 since the
end of May. It's nice to see it again. g

Thanks Laura! Yup, the journaling obviously does help me. Guess I shouldn't
really have put that theory to the test, even if it was done subconciously. g
Down further today (which did surprise me) - probably due more to not having any
late night/early morning snacks sitting in my system. And know what? Down is
down - doesn't much matter how or why. LOL

On my way to the treadmill, then breakfast, then errands. Am going to finally try
to get mom's bank accounts changed to an easier bank for me to access.

I didn't journal yesterday, my travel day. I ate my usual breakfast, ate an
apple for a late morning snack, and then for lunch/dinner, ate the take-home
from my previous night's dinner out. At the airport, I ate a box of popcorn
(after cruising the Philly Cheesesteak stand and other eateries). I
remembered my decision to eat a late and points-heavy lunch, and then
thought about whether it was hunger I wanted to feed or something else. KNEW
it was something else, so I fed it popcorn. It was disappointed, but
satisfied. Used more than 20 points yesterday, but not as many as I was
contemplating.

It certainly does seem to be working for those of you that had not been
journaling on a regular basis. For us that have been it does not seem to be
helping much.

Good luck with the bank. We're with Fleet and I can pay my bills on line
plus there are tons of branches around. Now that they have been bought out
by Bank of America there'll be more branches to chose from.
