Start there. Move on the nutritious food. Eat a lot of low-carb veggies and LEAN meats. your method seems rather random. we already know "eat less, excercise more" works In the end - that's what it really comes down to. But first you would do well to have some idea of how many calories it takes *YOU* to lose weight, then stay under that amount = weight loss! There is a calorie counting and information resource there that gives you the percentages you should be eating and what you are eating. It's called FitDay. It's great. I use it everyday. The healthiest foods are found in the fresh meat and produce sections of the store. from years of experience with low carb diets (thus my calorie ignorance) i know that the best plan is to shop around the edge of the supermarket, that's where they keep all the real food ) produce, meat, fish, dairy, eggs they put all the creepy stuff in the middle. luckily i don't buy too much in the middle. graham crackers for the kids, cannned 99% fat free broth, peanut butter, canned tomatoes & pasta, rice for DH, frozen veggies... i've always been majorly turned off by those 'crock pot delite" type "hamburger helper" sorta creations (eep) Those must be soooo bad for people! Good Luck, Jon i'm already tracking with fitday - i must've missed where it gives you percentages of what i should be eating. i've seen it break down the rda % for vitamins for you need vs intake but not for calories or fat/protien/carbs. only saw the charts it makes of what i've inputted. can you give me a direct link to what you are talking about - i must be missing it - thanks |
