Default Just In Case Anyone Cares ("Kimkins" for Killfillers)

(I put "Kimkins" in the subject line just in case anyone wants to KF
posts about this train wreck -- I sure wouldn't blame you.)

Just in case anyone's interested --

The class action suit has been filed this week and the LCF crowd are
wetting their pants in anticipation. There's been another segment on
the local news (which included at least one verified inaccuracy -- but
like good little "duckys" they didn't bother to question anything else
in the piece).

Some of the civil procedure reported about the suit confuses me -- I
guess it's possible that California has completely re-written the
Civil Code in the ten years I've been gone. Either that or (Oh! The
HORROR!) the television station had errors in their coverage.

At any rate, being unable to discern the difference between a civil
action and a criminal one, the LCF duck brigade are predicting
everything short of hanging, drawing and quartering of "Kimmer" after
all is said and done. I don't think anyone's mentioned burning her
(alive) at the stake yet, but I'd not be surprised if that's next.

I know this is a nasty post. That's why it's here and not at LCF. ;-)

It's been very slow lately - the blogs and ALC haven't had much to say.
There's been a shortage of gloating over the lawsuit and the third
news report.

While civil actions are not criminal ones, a person shown to conduct
fraudulent business by mail might have some criminal legal issues to deal
with.

The evidence from a civil case might find its way to the desk of a
prosecutor.

Hey Blue --

Kimmiekins is a crazy girl. I think it's crappy what she did and all,
but there's something creepy and sad about a person who would *lie
online* that she lost all kinds of weight using easily traceable
pictures of Russian chicks as her "evidence".

She's going to get hammered online, in court, and in the press. Now
that the fat lady sang on the local news I feel kind of sorry for
her.

c
Wouldn't hurt to move to Jupiter about now.
