The last time I was this small was right after my son was born. I threw

out
a bunch of stuff, but kept about 4 or 5 things that I loved so much I
couldn't bear to give away. I plan to wear a dress that I kept (never

wore
it before because it didn't look right, but DH says it looks great now)
probably for the first day of school on Tuesday.

In February I gave away most of my 'fat' clothes, but I hung onto about 6
outfits, not because I ever plan to wear them again, but because they were
relatively new, expensive, and I don't want to just give them to GoodWill.

Anybody know someone in a size 26/28 who needs dressy clothing in great
condition?

I have a friend who might be that size - she is heavier than I am (she has
recently started at weight watchers - her choice). Where do you live - I
assume you would have to pack and ship. I could send you the money for
shipping and whatever you wanted for the outfits. Send me more info - my
email is . I am in San Antonio, TX.

Last Spring, I stood in front of my closet and said that.

Out went a lot of dress shirts with an inch smaller neck.

Out went some pants.

Out went my old ski outfit - Jacket and Bib Pants.

Out went some suit coats.

Out went some outdoor coats.

---------- Then about two or so months later I started Atkins.

This week I have been buying some pants and shorts and shirts of the
size that I threw out..... because "I'll Never Be Small Enough To Wear
That Again!"

Late last spring, during the close outs of last Winter's clothes, I
bought some in Xtra Large and some in just Large.....

Just in case.......

While I am sad that I tossed out the old clothes that would now
fit...... I am very happy to be that small again.

Anybody else go through this?

Jim

Congrats on the weight loss - I did the same thing last year, however, I never
got around to taking the bag to the Salvation Army. I'm going to go through it
in a few weeks and see if I want any of my "used to be too small" clothes. It's
a great feeling!

Yes, I had the world's largest collection of Levi bush jeans, and
I threw out almost all of them. :-(((((((((((((((

I know what you mean, but what I nice reason to need new clothes. For
me, my "thin" clothes are so old they should be tossed out. They are
out dated...yeah yeah, I know, everything comes back eventually. I'd
rather have new clothes, lol.

Only slightly. I got rid of a bunch of "I'll never fit into these
again" things last October when I was moving, but they weren't clothes
that I loved, and I really do have too many clothes.

I've gone up and down over the last 20 years or so, and I have
clothing from size 8 to size 20. I'm getting rid of some of the
larger stuff now, and I've vowed that if I reach my goal and keep it
off a year, I'll get rid of all the "fat" clothes.

In the meantime, I've gone from size 20-22 to size 14-16, and I have
lots more clothes to wear. It's rather a shame that I work at home
and my usual outfit consists of T-shirt and jeans. But all my size
large T-shirts fit now, when a month or two ago I was restricted to
the XLs.
