fresh green beans are good!
I'm amazed1 Had never eaten any but the canned green beans. The fresh ones
are quite different! Someone fixed me a quiche with fresh green beans and some fresh broccoli, all very good! The beans were lightly cooked, very crunchy and juicy. Skinny |

Oh, my, there are very few canned vegetables that I think are
worthwhile--tomatoes, creamed corn (but too carby now), beans other than green, most frozen are pretty close to fresh. Costco has wonderful big bags of frozen "haricot verte", baby green beans. If someone served them, I ate them but I didn't like them enough to buy them or make them. And then I tried fresh green beans and like you, I really, really like green beans. Try tossing them in a little olive oil, with some salt & pepper and garlic and roasting them in the oven. I also like to snack on them rawRobyn |

Skinny I personally prefer the fresh variety of any vegetable. If for some reason this in not convenient, my next choice is frozen. I don't like canned food. Always too much salt. |
