Default Anti atkins?

http://www.atkinsdietalert.org/

Anyone ever seen this site? As I was reading more into it the org. was
founded over a dog?(under "about us") and they push to become
vegetarians as an alternative.

I will say that was the most unhealty diet I was ever on.
Atkins has yet to be a problem except when I stopped. carbs made me
very ill it took awhile to re ajust. However, as I went back on it it
seems much easier now. No headaches plus I added specialised
supplements intead of a multi vitamin due to the fact I was was
overdosing on Iron.

The PCRM (Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine)
is a known Vegetarian front organization. Despite the name,
its membership contains very few Medical Doctors.

A brief survery of the site reveals that they have an agenda
other than reporting factual scientific results. Much of the
language is cautiously worded to give an impression other
than what can be truthfully supported. Ignore it.

Heh .. We can really skew their results (lies) with the truth

High-Protein Diet Registry Established

In order to assist patients and consulting clinicians, the
Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine has established
a registry for individuals who have begun high-protein diets
or who may have been prescribed them by practitioners.
Individuals signing the registry may report their experience
with such diets and will find information on research and
legal issues that may relate to liability.

They really don't want the truth, they have an agenda that is
contrary to the true.... I bet it you started entering stuff that
supported Atkins it wouldn't last long.... BJ

I thought it was kind of a contridiction when I read the "labritory
animal" testing.
I'm not paying attention to it anyways. I read so many post that
stated their health has been been better due to this diet. I'm just
one to read all the pro's and con's most of what was being said could
be informitive as to what suppliments you should take-fiber, calcium
etc. So I did get a little something good from the site.

A front for PETA, to be specific. It was founded by a PETA member and
receives much of its funding from PETA.

Despite the name,
its membership contains very few Medical Doctors.
