Down 2.8 pounds this week for a total loss so far of 7 pounds. I hoping
for that as I have been very good this week (except for last night). I
kept my daily point intake to the low end of my point requirement, I
only ate 4.5 of my weekly point allowance, I earned 28 activity points
of which I used up 9 on my dinner out last night. My goal for next week
is to keep this up....lots of exercise, eat low end of points and try
not to consume my weekly points allowance.

Plissken............very happy that you had a great loss, but you should
really try to eat all of your points including your weekly flex
points...............if you don't, I think you may have some problems down
the road when you try to do maintenance............maybe you should discuss
this with your leader.........

Is that right, eat all the flex points too. I thought they were there
as a buffer.

Congrats!! That loss is incredible!
FWIW, I lose more when I eat all my daily points and a few of my
weekly. Not sure why, but it works!

It's a very personal thing. There's no "do it this way" in this..

We recommend eating some extras somewhere, being overly restrictive is not
something you can do for the rest of your life, and that's what we're
shooting for right?

To say that one should eat all the 35 WPA is over shooting it. I don't use
many of them. It works for me, I eat half of my activity points on the day I
earn them (if I earn more than 4 but I pretty much always do). I'll use the
35 WPA for special occasions, a BBQ, birthday, party.. something like that.

Some people will use all of their WPA and not use ANY activity pts.. that
works too.. Some people use none of their WPA and APs.. I think that's being
overly restrictive, but as long as it works for them, they'll learn to
adjust (hopefully) when they get to goal. Finaly some people use all of them
WPAs AND APs.. that can be a lot, and it runs the danger of over estimating
their APs, and actually eating more than they are REALLY burning.. but
again, if it works for them.. *shrug*

I lost my weight eating 16-18pts per day, and working out at LEAST 2 hrs a
day. I got very close to starvation more, hair loss, gum sensitivity etc.
you don't want to go there, it's not healty and it's ugly... on the other
hand, a lot of people are claiming "starvation mode" while eating 20-25pts
per day walking 30 minutes a day... I'm sorry but to go in starvation mode..
you have to starve..

Eat when hungry, otherwise find something else to do.. that's the bottom
line..
Will~

good for you, just remember to keep track of your losses and you may need to
eat more points for a week or two if you stall, I love it when someone
figures the right combination for them to lose, Lee

they are there as a buffer and many people lose better onot eating them, if
I don't eat them I flip into starvation mode and I mean quick, also less was
talking about eating more along the way and exercising so she can eat more
during maintenance, she explains this much better and hopefully if she gets
time she will post about it as I think her perspective is good information
to assist in making this choice, Lee
