The answer to my question above (do chimps eat meat) I found after doing my own research and they do. I just wanted to know this to fairly compare our blood types. As I said, I am not a scientist nor am I a chimp expert. All I have ever offered here is my opinion. It stays at that, just an opinion. We all have the right to one. hugs, tonya |

why be so mean about someone's opinion? I just don't understand. That's obvious. You seem to have the mistaken notion that all opinions - informed and uninformed alike - are of equal value. Bad start for a discussion that's ostensibly about "a lot of good research and science." If it's about "a lot of good research and science" it needs to be exactly that, not about opinions based on sly evasions and rejection of real science. How come you didn't feel the need to tell Jim to tone it down? We are not scientists ourselves so there is no way any one of us can truly know the facts. You and Jim are not scientists and seemingly don't know how to find the facts. We get our info from reading and no matter what the subject, you will always find conflicting info, therefore we make a decision on which side of the story we want to believe. Sorry. No. There's the small issue of quality of information. If you're reading "Nature" about how and when blood types emerged, it has a rather higher credibility value than a popular science article in a newspaper or magazine. And certainly a higher credibility value than a diet book with easily demonstrable errors in the very premise. No need to be rude to one another. Do explain that to Jim, would you? The tone of his "rebuttal" was a tad snarky but a lot ignorant. Pastorio Tonya www.lowcarbcrew.com "Bob (this one)" wrote in message ... Jim Bard wrote: I have to agree with Tonya. To simply state "that theory has been thoroughly discredited" says nothing. Except that you, for some reason, disagree with a lot of good research and science. You know, Sparky, it might be real good to post some of that "good research and science." See if you can find any outside of that book. I didn't just say the theory was bull****, I suggested you look to see about Chimp blood types. I suggested that because, as deep questers of "good research and science" that you are, a few minutes of seeing that blood types originated at the same time and not sequentially gives complete lie to the foolishness behind the approach. If chimps show a distribution of blood types and they were our evolutionary precursors, then the book is crap. The book is crap. Disagree all you want. Postulate opinions all you want. The rest of us will continue to use real science to maintain control over our bodies. Real science doesn't come with crayons and a picture of Barney on the cover. Zuchinni, anyone? You spell as well as you research. Pastorio |
