Just curious: isn't tempura batter high in carbs? I don't know about Fry
Eze, either. Was just wondering since we tried the pork rind coating on
chicken, and it didn't really do anything for me.

Hi Folks,

I got my first deep fat fryer and would love some recipe ideas.

I did chicken gizzards with a egg/cream wash and dipped in almond flour.

Wonderful!

Thanks for any ideas

OK:

Go to your local bulk foods store and buy a five pound bag each of Fry Eze
and Tempura batter mix.

Cut up fish into chunks

Dip in sticky tempura batter with added cayenne pepper then dust in dry

Fry
Eze until dry coated.

Fry until brown.

Eat!

Yep, they both have carbs but not many.

You will just need to scrimp on carbs somewhere else and enjoy great fried
foods!

I've wanted a fryer for a while now but didn't want to do DIY trans-fats.

What oil should one use? How often is it safe to reuse it? Besides
refrigeration, is there anything to do to keep it from going rancid?

Peter,

Apparently you aren't a country kid or a small town guy. Gizzards are
GOOD if cooked right.
I've eaten them all of my life. Chicken gizzards and chicken livers were
always fried along with the rest of the chicken. Didn't know I wasn't
supposed to like them.
