Just curious: isn't tempura batter high in carbs? I don't know about Fry
Eze, either. Was just wondering since we tried the pork rind coating on chicken, and it didn't really do anything for me. -- Linda 296/205/160 LC since Oct. 13, 2003 http://home.att.net/~lewis_linda/index.html "Evad" wrote in message ... Yep, they both have carbs but not many.
You will just need to scrimp on carbs somewhere else and enjoy great fried foods! Evad "Lady o' the house" wrote in message ... Just curious: isn't tempura batter high in carbs? I've wanted a fryer for a while now but didn't want to do DIY trans-fats. What oil should one use? How often is it safe to reuse it? Besides refrigeration, is there anything to do to keep it from going rancid? Peter,
Apparently you aren't a country kid or a small town guy. Gizzards are GOOD if cooked right. I've eaten them all of my life. Chicken gizzards and chicken livers were always fried along with the rest of the chicken. Didn't know I wasn't supposed to like them. You eat chicken gizzards on purpose?!!! g |
