counting calories with their carbs
i guess since i haven't got a reply to my question that was origanily asked
on this post that nobody must count their calories as well angie www.freewebs.com/hopingtolose25/ From: "Pat Paris" Subject: any one counting calories along with their carbs Date: Friday, November 28, 2003 9:06 PM On Thu, 27 Nov 2003 13:39:28 -0600, "Stephen S" wrote: Site says that the least expensive one that will track phosphates and potassium is $70. yikes I went back and looked at NutribaseEZ again and I found that it does track Potassium, it was only that I had not entered a daily goal amount for it so it was not showing up on nutrition reports. It is in the nutrient database and shows up for all food items. It also tracks phosphorous, but I'm not sure if that is the same thing you meant when you said you need to track phosphates. i guess since i haven't got a reply to my question that was origanily asked on this post that nobody must count their calories as well I counted calories (ie: tracked them with fitday) for a while, while LCing. I find now that I'm on maintenance, I just try to keep a good balance between carbs/fat/protein and try to eat only when I'm hungry. If I'm going to snack, I try to have small portions (ie: 3-4 peanuts in a shell, or a small apple or an oz of cheese or something.) So, no I do not *count* calories per se, but I do try to keep within a reasonable amount of calories, which I *figure* is probably about 2000 to 2400, depending on the day. -- "Liars always figure, but figures never lie." on this post that nobody must count their calories as well BRBR I replied to your original post, and I know I saw quite a few other replies, too. You may want to check the archives. Anyway, to re-answer your question: Yes, I do count calories. I use fitday.com and track everything. While I was trying to lose I kept between 1200 - 1500 calories and under 50 carbs. Now that I'm pretty much on maintanence I can go as high as 1800 calories and between 75 - 100 carbs and be safe. Brenda 135/106 |

Count the damn calories, don't count the damn calories, you're going to need to find out what works for you, not what works for other people. And for God's sake get a spell checker and start using capital letters. (Yes, I know flaming spelling and grammar is a Usenet faux pas, but good grief.) |
