Default NSV - New Waisteline!

When I first started WW on February 1st, I was wearing 36" waiste
pants, jeans and shorts. Well, "wearing" probably isn't a fair term.
More like I was squeezing into them and not kidding anyone but myself.
My gut hung over the front, my lovehandles over the sides and bending
over was terribly uncomfortable. I went in to be professionally fitted
for a tux and they told me my measurement was more like a strong 40
inches. At 26 years old, 5'6", and 232 lbs I was pretty depressed with
myself. I had a three year old that I could barely keep up with and a
newborn, and finally my wife lovingly and supportively spoke up to me.
That was all the motivation I needed.

Today, 4 months later, I'm 186.8 lbs and I'm happy to report that as of
yesterday, I comfortably fit into 34" jeans with no fat hanging over
waisteline anywhere! I had a pair laying around from years ago that I
always liked and always told myself I'd fit into again. My goal is
still 32 inches, but I'm confident I'll get there. Small victories
like this on the long journey to my goal keep me motivated and,
frankly, keep me from straying. I wore those 34" waiste jeans to a
formal dessert, ate only as much as my points afforded me, and walked
out satisfied and happy with myself! It was a pretty good day. I'm
literally a shadow of my former self. And I'm not even at goal yet!

Sounds like you are a light build as well as not very tall (I know that
one - I'm 5'4". My younger sister is 5'11" and I have a bridesmaid
customer of 6'2"!). You are doing well!

My hips are down to 40" (not bad for a 49 YO mum!): can't wait to see
38" there! I don't think at my age 35" hips and a 20" waist is a
realistic goal! I'll be happy with 140 lbs on the scales, down from 213.

great stuff Joe!!! Very happy for you.

Hey, imagine this......you said you were 5'-6 at 232 lbs right?, well when I
started my journey back in June 2005, I was 359 lbs standing only 5'-5
tall............no proud of it, but I hope it makes you feel a little bit
better about the fact that hadn't let yourself go as badly as I did

Here I am one year later and still weighing in 284.........min. 100 lbs more
to go, but feeling like I've come back from the brink and got my life back!

I will happy when I've reached the point that you started at!! LOL!!!!

Thanks for sharing......kudos to you for your efforts!
