Default Quick Question

I will have completed my first two weeks of Atkins. I have lost ten pounds.
Does this sound average to everyone? I met a guy once where I worked and he told me he lost 30 pounds in two weeks, I didin't expect this for myself, but I just want to know if ten sounds right.
Thanks

Good for you on completeing your first two weeks! Have you noticed any
other positive side effects aside from the weight loss?

There is a wide range of numbers that sound "right". How much you lose
depends on:
Are you male or female? males typically lose more
How much weight do you need to lose? the more you have to lose, the more you
will lose during your initial two weeks

The other thing it depends on is your level of resistence. The Atkins book
has a chart that asks how much you lost during the 2 week induction, and you
find what describes you and your age, and see how resistent you are. The
more you lost, typically the more carbs you will eventually be able to eat
and still lose weight.

You are planning to move on to Ongoing Weight Loss now, right?

It sounds right to ME. About 7 lbs of water and 2-3 lbs of fat,
probably.

And of course how much one loses in the first 3 weeks has a lot to do
with how overweight one is to begin with. Someone 20 lbs overweight
will rarely lose as much as someone who is 200 lbs overweight.

10 lbs is great!
30 I don't believe. For men maybe 16. For a woman 10 is great! Keep up
the good work
