What the heck is...
"milk and egg protein?"
It's in a new low carb recipe book I bought. I don't know what it is or where to get in, and haven't heard it mentioned here. Thanks. Barb |

What the heck is...
Hi,
On 11-Apr-2004, Barb2 wrote: "milk and egg protein?" It's in a new low carb recipe book I bought. I don't know what it is or where to get in, and haven't heard it mentioned here. Thanks. The protein powders can be derived from a variety of sorces, like soy, milk, egg, or whey. Here are a couple of sites with a bit of info about the different sorts. http://www.protein-bars-powders.com/Protein_Types.htm http://www.cenvall.com/proteinpowder.htm Most places like GNC and (online) Netrition have all sorts of PPs. You have to try the different sorts to see what you like the best. If you want to use them for cooking be aware that they have differnt qualities that may affect your final product. (For example, soy powder will require more liquid in the recipe than whey powder). Take care, Carmen |

What the heck is...
Sounds like we bought the same cookbook. :-)
I found a list of the ingredients here so I could print it and take it with me when I went shopping. http://www.thelowcarbcook.com/page16.html I ended up ordering Keto Milk from an online source, although some of the ingredients weren't exactly the same. I haven't tried using it yet, though. on Mon, 12 Apr 2004 02:51:09 GMT, Barb2 wrote: "milk and egg protein?" It's in a new low carb recipe book I bought.
