My favorites:
1. Naturally low-carb tortillas/wraps. These become low carb by being high
fiber, leaving a digestible carb count as low as 3 carbs per tortilla.
They taste healthy and are more chewy, long-lasting and pleasurable than
ordinary tortillas. There are various brands, and they all seemed pretty
good to me. I wish they had these here in Tokyo!

2. Keto-crumbs and similar products that create a low-carb, high-fiber
breading for frying using textured vegetable protein. It isn't quite as
tasty as real breading, but it isn't bad in its own right. Most
importantly, it gives you a decent way of satisfying those occasional
urges to have crunchy fried chicken. Mixed with egg and fried it also
makes a fairly good pancake/bread-like food.

3. Atkins shakes also seem to be not bad to me. They don't have glycerine
or stuff like that in them that the bars do, so they are "really"
low-carb. And they seem to make a good filler-upper, which helps you stick
with your diet. I wish they had those here too.

4. My sister visited and brought me some really tasty "iced green tea with
ginseng" made by Arizona Beverage. I have to admit I was skeptical. For
one thing, I never had tried *sweetened* green tea before. I had never
heard of such a thing here in Japan! It is sweetened with Splenda. After
trying some of Atkin's zero-carb drink mixes (talk about unnatural
chemical tasting!) I was really pleasantly surprised by the Arizona green
tea mix. It tastes *natural* and *refreshing*. I've ordered a few tins.
Highly recommended!

My favorite Low Carb food products:

real cream in real coffee (some woe's don't allow caffeine coffee - but I
do as I don't follow a book, also my husband toasts his own coffee seeds
from green)

a real omelette with the veggies sauteed to perfection in butter. Make
sure you separate the eggs and whip the whites nice and fluffy.

Strips of real chicken breast with green peppers, broccoli, red peppers,
and mushrooms.

I'm truly delighted with the Carb Options (by Hellman's) Tomato Ketchup
though.
It's a tad sweeter than Heinz original (I'm still waiting for the low carb
Heinz to arrive in UK), but other than that it's just as good as Heinz. I
picked Heinz as a benchmark because I have always loved it.

My store has stopped carrying the Heinz version, it seems to have been replaced
by a Low Salt version in the same packaging!
Has this been discontinued? I now use the Carb Options, which is very similar.
