WW Meeting
Actually, snow shoveling can be very dangerous.. lots and lots of heart
attacks, back injuries, hip injuries and then some.. Go at it slowly, switch side regularly, and use a small shovel (less heavy, besides you shovel longer!) Will~ Born and bred in East Canada "sweetchild" wrote in message ... Use the snow to your advantage..this week I have been chipping and chopping like crazy..I think Wednesday my output far exceeded my input caloric wise..... I look at shoveling as free exercise- if you can handle it..I am overweight too so I nothing to lose but fat over here ..of course watch your back !! "Knit Chic" wrote in message . net... I'm bummed. Today I will miss my first meeting in 8 wks. I have never done anything for 8 wks! And even though my progress is slow ... it's progress. There is about 3 1/2 feet of snow on the |

UPDATE --- WW Meeting
My best friend was always effortlessly svelte until she hit about 40-ish,
and she put on about 30 pounds in three years. Her DH went to Iraq a few days ago (but he's been gone training since December), and she just decided to get off her butt and do something about the weight, to have something else to focus on, I think, as much as because she needs to. She's lost 16 pounds (in about three months) but is moaning because it's not coming off faster. For folks like me who've *always* had to watch it, I'm mystified. I'd be thrilled to see 16 pounds gone, I think. Progress! :-) I keep telling her that if it comes off faster, it won't stay off, so this is just right, IIRC. -- Kim Olson Writing and Editing Services Email for rates and information Free newsletter, The Lazy Vegan, is BACK in Business For more information, visit: http://home.earthlink.net/~kimcof/lazyvegan.htm My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first one being -- hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint. - Erma Bombeck "sweetchild" wrote in message ... Exactly Kim-- good analogy.... When I think of 40 pounds I think of when I am carrying my 5yo up the steps when he falls asleep on the sofa..it is excruciating! It is a lot of weight to haul esp when tired.... I **** and moan to myself ...of course! .... Then I think-- if I LOST that 40 lbs I'd be carrying just my own weight total up the steps and it wouldn't be as bad..of course there is more than that on me I need to lose but it adds interesting perspective... "Kim Olson" wrote in message ... Hey, the next time you think it's "only" 10 pounds, heft 10 pounds of potatoes the next time you're at the store. :-) Congrats! -- Kim Olson Writing and Editing Services Email for rates and information Free newsletter, The Lazy Vegan, is BACK in Business For more information, visit: http://home.earthlink.net/~kimcof/lazyvegan.htm My second favorite household chore is ironing. So there was good news. The people around me are not being as supportive as I would like them to, however I know that this is up to me and *I* can drop weight, even if it's a slow. 10.2 pounds so far. Thanks for all of the kind words. "Knit Chic" wrote in message . net... I'm bummed. Today I will miss my first meeting in 8 wks. I have never done anything for 8 wks! Yes, this post does relate to both the clutter NG and ASDW. The clutter in my garage makes it imposable to park in there. If I could have parked in my garage my van would have started in this cold weather. So, not only am I not able to go to a WW meeting ... we are also trapped in the house. This sucks and it is 100% my fault. |

UPDATE --- WW Meeting
and remind her of 2 things... skin takes longer to snap back after 40 so the
slower she loses the less sag she will have, most studies say it takes twice as long to lose as you had the first pound you were overweight if you want to keep it off, Lee Kim Olson wrote in message ...
